Following two days in the studio recording their new full-length album of Mark’s original tunes, the Mark Tipton Septet will present a mindful and adventurous set at Portland Maine’s Apohadion Theater (107 Hanover Street, Portland, ME).
Mark’s long relationship with this venue includes his work with jazz and avant-garde ensembles, performing his silent film scores, and presenting experimental multidisciplinary installations. Owner Pat Corrigan remains a champion of “art for art’s sake,” creating an inclusive space for performing, visual, and film artists of all varieties to explore new expressive horizons in a warm, unpretentious setting.
