Les Sorciers Perdus at FOGTOWN

Still from Charley Bower’s “It’s a Bird” (1930).

The French called him “Bricolo,” and silent film scholars have placed him in league with Charlie Chaplin & Buster Keaton in terms of ingenuity, style, and overall hilarity!  The great, near-forgotten Charley Bowers infused his comedic shorts with elements of surrealism, side-splitting gags, and loads of heart!

Join Les Sorciers Perdus at 7pm on Friday, August 23rd, 2019 at Fogtown Brewing Co. in Ellsworth for a wild romp through two of Charley Bowers’ short silent masterpieces (TBD) with NEW scores by Mark Tipton, plus a jazz set featuring new works by members of the ensemble…and a classic tune or two!
