Mehmet Ali Sanlikol at Jordan Hall

I am honored to be a part of Mehmet Ali Sanlikol’s faculty recital on Thursday, November 16th at 7:30pm in Jordan Hall at NEC. There is a panoply of gifted musicians participating, and Dr. Sanlikol will be presenting a wide range of his works in jazz, jazz-Turkish fusion, and classical Makam and new music genres. Don’t miss this if you’re in Boston!

From Mehmet: “Dear all, please join me and my wonderful colleagues at a very special concert on November 16 where we will celebrate the 20th year of DÜNYA at the amazing New England Conservatory’s Jordan Hall!
The repertoire will reflect the kind of diverse programming we’ve done over the years which combined traditional music with all kinds of new approaches. As a result, the concert will feature classical Ottoman/Turkish music selections (for the first time from my recently published book) as well as my compositions written in a variety of styles including jazz and concert music. THIS IS A FREE FACULTY CONCERT!”
