Les Sorciers Perdus and guests perform for the 2018 Back Cove Contemporary Music Festival at SPACE Gallery in Portland, Maine on Sunday, May 20th at 2PM. Along with an impressive roster of Maine composers, LSP will present a new music/poetry/visual art collaborative piece by Mark titled spacE x p a n s i o n.
spacE x p a n s i o n is a collaborative site-specific installation that uses as much of the physical “space” as possible. The overall theme is expansion, in terms of cosmos, world-view, empathy, generosity, etc.; a statement against xenophobia, isolationism, and existential myopia. During the course of spacE x p a n s i o n the audience will hear the sounds of a poet speaking and instrumental sounds emerging from different points in the room, and will see a visual artist creating a new piece that captures and expands upon these sonic offerings.
