Mark’s experimental multi-track trumpet recording, new mythologies for trumpet(s) is now available for purchase!  This is the first release by Mark Tipton Music Productions,  LLC.  It features 17 original compositions written for between 1 to 16 trumpets that explore polyrhythm, polytonality, tonal colors, density and stasis.

Recorded in August 2017 at Acadia Recording Company by Todd Hutchison, and mastered by Pat Keane at Pat Keane Audio Mastering, the material on new mythologies for trumpet(s) was two years in the making.  Artwork by Keri Kimura.

Les Sorciers Perdus’ 2017 original jazz album, Alchemist’s Dream, is dedicated to the memory of Chris Sprague, the group’s founding bassist.  Alchemist‘s Dream features a wide spectrum of moods and textures, ranging from the impressionistic “Fog of Ancient Memory” to the funky “Is That So?,” from the exploratory “Alchemist‘s Dream” to the lyrical “Please Stay With Me,” and from the mythical “The Legend of Ghost Cowboy” to the meditative “Inner Tundra.”
